THE FIRM

Studio Legale Calda was first created in Piacenza in the second half of the 1800s by Avv. Giuseppe Calda, president of the local Bar Association for 25 years. The Firm was then opened in Bologna in the early 1900s by his son Avv. Alberto Calda, who was followed first by Avv. Giuseppe Calda, and then by today’s owners Ferdinando and Filippo, each the son of his predecessor.

Real estate

Extrajudicial assistance and advice for any act or contract pertaining to real estate (buying and selling, leases and condominiums, contracts, constitutions and variations of usufruct, surface, easements, boundaries, usucapions, communions, etc.).

Intellectual property

Assistance and advice, both extrajudicial (contractual matters involving intellectual property rights, etc.) and judicial (precautionary proceedings and proceedings on the merits before national Courts, etc.), concerning all aspects of intellectual property law, with particular regard to trademarks, patents, models, know-how, copyright, software, new technologies, and unfair competition.

Legal assistance in the People's Republic of China

Flippo provides legal assistance on matters of intellectual property to Clients in the People’s Republic of China, in association with Chinese professionals. His expertise in the field of Chinese intellectual property as well as his relationships with Chinese professionals was developed during his experience working in China and through his academic collaboration.

Avv. Ferdinando Calda

Ferdinando, born in 1950, has been operating in the field of real estate law since 1976 working exclusively in the extrajudicial field since 1990.

Avv. Filippo Calda, Ph.D.

Filippo, born in 1980, has been operating in the field of intellectual property (judicial and extrajudicial) since 2007. Filippo is a specialist lawyer (Ministry of Justice Decree No. 163/2000) in industrial, intellectual property, and technological innovation law, and holds a Ph.D. in intellectual property and competition law from the University of Modena-Reggio Emilia. Filippo collaborates with the chair of Asian and Comparative law at the University of Bologna, is regularly published in legal journals in the field, and gives lectures at specialized conferences. Filippo’s professional partnerships include serving as Of Counsel with a prestigious Milanese firm that also specializes in intellectual property law, as well as collaborating with a renowned law firm in Beijing during his professional experience in the People’s Republic of China.
